Cougar Distance Running Camp
The Cougar Distance Running Camp is designed to help
athletes prepare for the fall cross country season as well as to
learn about the many methods of training for distance races.
Camp participants will be introduced to many different types
of training for races up to 5k. Workouts will be individualized
for each participant, though participants are encouraged to
come prepared to run at least three miles. Topics covered
will include: proper warmup and cooldown routines, injury
prevention, different training intensities, race-day readiness,
and strength training. This camp is open for any junior high or
high school student interested in becoming a better runner.
Past experience competing on a team is not necessary, though
some familiarity and experience with running is expected.
All participants will receive a custom water bottle as part of the
$140 for all eight sessions; $20 per individual session.
For boys and girls entering grades 7–12 in the fall.
