International Photo Contest
International Education Week (November 13-17), is nationally recognized on university campuses, and is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide! In preparation for International Education Week. International Student Program (ISP) and the Academic Center for Enrichment (ACE) Office is having our sixth annual Photo Contest!
First Place: $100
Second Place: $75
Third Place: $50
We’re looking for ‘international photos:’
The photo MUST be of some place you have traveled abroad, for international students this could mean traveling within the U.S.
We would like photos that display artistic merit and provides an overall representation of the experience of living and learning abroad; there should be an interesting story behind the picture.
The photo could be of a significant political/social event happening in another country, but it doesn’t have to be
Here are the rules for the photo contest:
Print out your photo and send it to ISP (International Student Program) in the Multi-Ethnic Resource Center. Attn: Leslie Lindberg (office #210)
No photos of places you come from or where you currently live, (For example, no pictures of Morris).
Along with the picture, please submit a short description of the picture typed up on a separate piece of paper. In this description you can explain the story behind the picture and how your photo meets the requirements of the competition.
Put your name, email, and phone number on the back of the photo
Only one submission per person
This contest is open to all employees of UMM and students
Photo submissions are due no later than 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, November 8th
How winners will be selected:
Campus votes on the BEST photos during International Education Week (November 13-16), through an email survey! You can also vote for your favorite pictures in person, ISP, ISA and ACE will be tabling at the Student Center where we will display the photos.
