About this Event
Free EventThe Prep Camp portion of the camp is designed to prepare high school teams and individuals for their fall soccer season. The College ID portion of the camp is designed to provide the students with a view into what the University student/athlete experience entails academically/athletically and socially. Women from our UMN-Morris women's soccer team will serve as coaches and mentors during the camp. The camp is open to female athletes entering grades 8-12. Focusing on technique, teamwork, conditioning, and mental preparation, the Prep Camp emphasizes instruction and coaching that will ready individuals and teams to perform at optimal levels for their fall season. Goalkeepers will receive specific position training and will also be incorporated into team play.
The College ID students will also engage in training sessions that will give them a view in to University level training and play. They will also receive information on the college recruiting process, what "a week in the life" of a University student/athlete entails, how financial aid and scholarships work, how to best prepare academically/athletically for your University student/athlete experience and why being a student/athlete enhances your overall University experience.
The staff includes UMN-Morris soccer coaches, women from our UMN-Morris soccer team and select guest coaches. We look forward to having you join us!
