About this Event
This will be a zoom meeting on November 10 at 8:00pm (Central Standard Time) for International Education & French Week (November 9-13), an internationally recognized week that provides an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international exchange worldwide, whether it is traveling or studying abroad!
As part of this important week, we have invited those in the campus community who know a second language to teach a fun 5 minute lesson in
that language. As a participant, this will be similar to a "speed dating" format however this year we are holding it via zoom so our international students can join us across space and time zones. Each teacher will get 5 minutes to teach the rest of the group a fun lesson in another language. We usually have 10 or more languages featured in this event.
Some creative ideas people have had in the past are: flirting in French, learning about the characters in Mandarin, greetings in Spanish, learning about the family tree in Arabic, children's nursery rhymes in Hmong etc!
Come join us for this event and learn about languages around the world!
