Seed Harvest

Annually the US Fish and Wildlife Management District looks for volunteers to
help aid in the collection of seeds that are used to restore the prairie and to raise funds to purchase property for future restoration. This is a day long commitment in the outdoors.

Please follow all current COVID Guidelines for the University.

Important information for volunteers:Volunteers will need to dress appropriately for the weather: long pants, tennis
shoes/boots, and jackets/coat. A little lunch is provide by the Office
of Community Engagement. Transportation is provided via UMM van, though students are welcome to use their personal vehicles as long as they fill out the required waiver.

The group will meet Saturday, at 8:30 AM at the Welcome Center and return
no later than 4:00 PM. You need to notify the Office of Community
Engagement at least 24 hours before if you are unable to attend.
Deadline to Register is 10 PM Thursday prior to harvest.
