Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at 7 p.m. Science Auditorium on the Morris campus
"Exploring the Mysteries of the Sun: Explosions on our closest Star"
Between 4 and 5:30 pm, we will open the observatory, put the big solar filter on, and let you view the sun through the telescope. Sunspots and their rims are visible. Don't worry, it is perfectly safe with the filter. It is a metallizedmylar filter, similar to the material used in eclipse glasses.
