Tercero Program: Training Community Volunteers in Spanish Language Translation and Interpreting

Fall 2018 Trainings in the Morris Public Library Community Room:
Wednesday, Sept. 19th: 5:00-7:30: overview of interpretation and translation
Wednesday, Oct. 3rd 5:00-7:30: interpretation training
Wednesday, Oct. 17th 5:00-7:30: translation training
Mission: To train volunteers to serve as community translators and interpreters for Spanish-speaking people in the Morris area community; to foster communication and understanding among local families, schools, essential services, and other local partners.
In order to serve as a volunteer and to demonstrate documented competence as a community translator & interpreter, prospective volunteers must complete a series of three workshops (in any order). Workshops are hosted on a regular basis. Free supervised play for children during workshops.
